Terms of Service
The short version: one account per person, don't redistribute the database, and treat the research as research rather than as investment advice. The rest is detail.
Last updated 18 August 2026. Semisino is operated by D2D Advisory (“we”, “us”). Using the site means accepting these terms. Questions: info@semisino.com.
What Semisino is
A structured database of Chinese semiconductor companies, a daily news reader drawn from Chinese-language sources, and original written analysis. Part of it is free to read; the full database, the newswire, and most research are available to subscribers.
Your account
Accounts are currently issued by invitation. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account, and an account is for one person. Sharing credentials, or passing subscriber content to people who aren't subscribers, is the one thing most likely to get an account closed.
Subscriptions and billing
Access follows an active paid subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and payment is handled by Stripe — we never see your card details. Cancel whenever you like: access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not usually pro-rate partial periods. If something has gone wrong with your billing, email us and we will sort it out rather than stand on this paragraph.
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a few days and your access continues while it does. Access ends when the subscription lapses for good.
What you may do with the content
Read it, search it, and use it in your own work — that is what it is for. Quote from it with attribution to Semisino. What you may not do is redistribute or resell it: no republishing articles in full, no bulk export of the company database, no scraping or automated harvesting, and no feeding it wholesale into a product of your own. The database is a compilation we built and maintain, and the compilation itself is ours even where the underlying facts are public.
Accuracy, and what this is not
The directory and newswire are assembled from public sources — company disclosures, exchange filings, and Chinese-language media — and headlines are machine-translated into English. We work at accuracy and correct errors when we find them, but the material is provided as-is and will contain mistakes. Verify anything you intend to rely on, and tell us when something is wrong: corrections are welcome at info@semisino.com.
Nothing on Semisino is investment advice. It is industry research. It is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security, it is not tailored to your circumstances, and we are not acting as your adviser, broker, or fiduciary. Decisions you make with it are yours.
Availability
We aim to keep the site up and the daily news pipeline running, but we don't promise uninterrupted service, and features may change as the product develops.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses arising from decisions taken on the basis of the content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending it
You can stop using Semisino and cancel at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms — in practice, that means credential sharing or bulk extraction — and where it is fair to do so we will say what the problem is first.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top moves when we do, and we will email subscribers about anything that materially affects them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the courts of California will hear any dispute.
